1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow a website to recognise your browser and remember certain information between pages or visits, such as keeping a form or session working correctly.

Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other services whose content loads on the page are called third-party cookies. Cookies can also be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which remain for a set period.

Similar technologies, such as local storage, can store information in your browser in comparable ways. Where we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we mean cookies and any similar technologies we use.

2. Cookies we use

Insightnix is designed to work with minimal cookies. We use only strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the website to function and are exempt from consent under UK law. We do not use advertising cookies or cookies that track you across other websites.

Cookie Provider Purpose Type Duration
PHPSESSID Insightnix (first-party) Maintains your session so that pages and forms function correctly during your visit. Strictly necessary Session

This table lists the first-party cookies we set. If we introduce additional cookies in future, this table and the "last updated" date will be revised before they are used.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other third-party behavioural tracking tool. View counts shown on dashboards are recorded server-side using aggregate counters, with no personal data or identifiers attached to them.

3. Third-party services

To render the platform, Insightnix loads a small number of resources from third-party content delivery networks (CDNs). These are technical requests made to display the page, not tracking tools:

  • Tailwind CSS — page styling.
  • Font Awesome — icons.
  • Chart.js and D3.js — interactive charts.
  • Map boundary data — world map visualisations.

As part of standard operation, these providers may receive your IP address and set their own technical cookies under their respective privacy policies. They do not receive personal information from us and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Over time we intend to self-host these resources to further reduce third-party data transfers.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

You can control and delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, including blocking them entirely. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them may stop parts of the website, such as forms, from working correctly.

Guidance for the most common browsers:

General guidance on cookies and how to manage them is available at aboutcookies.org.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time, for example if the cookies used by the website change. The current version is always published on this page, and the "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. We will not introduce non-essential cookies without updating this policy and, where required, obtaining your consent.

7. Contact

If you have questions about our use of cookies, or about how we handle personal information more broadly, please contact Isodev Limited. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
